On leaving the airport, take underpass signposted for Belfast City Centre and follow signs towards M3 northbound.
Follow signs for the M2 / M5 Motorway (Northbound).
Once on the Motorway head towards Carrickfergus on the M5.
Continue straight through all roundabouts at the end of the Motorway and head along the main road
(A2 - Shore Road) through Carrickfergus and Eden towards Whitehead / Larne passing Kilroot Power Station (AES Kilroot) and Kilroot Park (old ICI complex) on right.
At this point the road narrows.
Approximately 4 miles past Kilroot Power Station pass a Texaco garage on right at turn-off to Whitehead followed by a staggered crossroads (Maxol garage on left and Bentra Roadhouse on right). Continue straight through these junctions keeping on the main road towards Larne for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach a second staggered Crossroads (signposted left to Ballycarry and right to Islandmagee - B90).
Turn right - signposted to Islandmagee B90.
Continue on for approximately 1 mile along the causeway (passing over Humpback Bridge) to a Crossroads.
Turn left - signposted to Ballylumford / Brown's Bay B90.
Continue for approximately 4 miles.
Turn right - signposted to Brown's Bay B90.
After approximately 3.5 miles this road ends at the gates of Ballylumford Power Station.

On leaving the airport, follow the signs for Belfast. At first roundabout, take the A57 to Templepatrick and stay on A57 through next roundabout to travel through the village of Templepatrick.
At next roundabout, take exit for A6 signposted for Belfast and Ballyclare. Follow this road straight on past Ballyclare and on to Ballynure.
Stay on the A8 heading to Larne.
When reaching Larne, follow the directions for the Harbour and take the left exit signposted for the coast road. At the roundabout , take the first exit signposted for the Bus Station.
Drive past the bus station and follow this road through the villages of Glynn and Magheramournce and heading towards Carrickfergus.
After approximately seven miles, turn left at the staggered crossroads signposted Islandmagee (B90).
Follow this road until you reach a roundabout and take the first left.
Continue for approximately 4 miles.
Turn right - signposted to Brown's Bay B90.
After approximately 3.5 miles this road ends at the gates of Ballylumford Power Station.
